Mona encourages its guests to reduce their environmental impact by offering to limit the change of towels and sheets every 3 days. A simple gesture that allows everyone to work concretely for the protection of the environment.

We encourage our customers to consume tap water in their rooms as well as in the water points of Mona. Made from spring water from Montreux and Le Bouveret, it is one of the best tap water in the world. In addition, ask now for our spring water available in our restaurant.

On the entire eastern façade of the establishment, Mona has installed over-glazing films to provide better thermal insulation by filtering out the sun’s heat. Smart windows that significantly reduce heat loss.

With the aim of gradually banning all disposable plastics from the establishment, Mona has replaced its traditional Keycards with FSC fibre-based cards allowing you to access your rooms in complete security. In addition, the hotel has definitively banned single-use straws.

The aim of Swisstainable is to make the sustainability efforts of tourism companies visible and to offer customers decisive simplification and increased transparency when booking sustainable tourism offers.

Your contribution to “Cause We Care” helps protect the climate in two ways: through global climate protection projects and through local action on the ground. With a small contribution you can make a big difference and enjoy a climate-neutral stay with us.

I care – When you book, you can pay CHF 3.00 per night for “Cause We Care”. So you get a climate-neutral stay.

We care – You participate and we double your contribution! So we donate CHF 3.00 per night to “Cause We Care” for climate protection and sustainability.
Cause we care – We compensate for the fumes of your stay. In addition, we invest in local climate protection and sustainability measures. This will make your future stay with us even more climate-friendly.

In the event of an event without overnight stays, by paying a contribution of 1.5% of the total amount, you support our sustainability measures and offset your CO2 emissions on this same event.
