Before you arrive
There are several reasons why prices might vary on different booking channels. Check that the room category and cancellation policy are the same on both sites. Price will also vary if breakfast is included in the booking or not.
Tourist tax is a tax levied on visitors by the local authorities to help finance the maintainance of tourist facilities and the protection of natural areas. The rate is set according to the length of stay and the category of accommodation.
For triple occupancy, we recommend the Mona Suite, the Privilege Room or the Classy Junior Suite. For four persons we recommend two connecting bedrooms – either a Privilege room and a Panorama Room or a Privilege room and a classy junior suite. The sofa bed in the Privilege room or the Classy Junior Suite can also be turned down to accomodate for a fifth person.
We charge CHF 26.00 per adult for breakfast. Children between the ages of six and twelve pay half price. For children under six, breakfast is on the house. Our breakfast buffet includes pastries, bread, cereal, cheese, cold meats, hot dishes, fruit, etc. A chef is also available to prepare eggs to your liking. Bon appetit!
Mona has an underground parking garage. We can offer you a parking spot for CHF 25.00 a night or CHF 35.00 a night if you have an electric car and would like to charge it. We strongly advise you to reserve a parking spot in advance of your stay as space is limited.
Our suites come with a sofa bed, which we can turn down on request. If you need more space, please contact reception for a third bed. Or, in case you have booked one of our other rooms, an upgrade to a room with a sofa bed. Just to let you know, the upgrade will be charged as an extra. For children younger than three years old, we can provide you with a baby coat free of charge for any room.
While you are here
Of course! We encourage you to do so. Lake Geneva is clean and ideal for swimming. Pierrier beach in Clarens is only a 20-minute walk from the hotel. There are also smaller swimming spots in Montreux. We will be happy to provide you with directions at reception.
We can't promise a late check-out but will do our best to accomodate you. Please let us know at reception if you would like one. Note that additional charges may apply if the hotel is heavily booked.
You can pay at Mona with cash, Reka Check or card, Mastercard, Visa card, JBC card, Diners Club card, debit card (Maestro), and gift voucher. If you are the lucky recipient of a gift voucher, please notify us at reception in advance of your stay to validate the voucher. For business travellers, we can also arrange an e-banking payment for the room through your company. Please contact reception for additional details.
You can smoke on your balcony as long as you keep the door to the room closed. Please ask reception for an ashtray.
At Mona, we have something for everyone. Check out the Experience page on our website for more details but to give you a taster, we offer: - a 24/7 gym - a sauna and hammam - a jaccuzzi - pétanque on the rooftop - complimentary bikes During the summer months, our private jetty, the Mona Marina, is open too. As a hotel guest, you can rent stand-up paddle boards free of charge or a boat without a license at a discount.
Upon arrival, you will receive an additional Montreux Riviera Card. This card, financed by the tourist tax, offers you free access to regional public transport for your journey from Villeneuve to Vevey, as well as discounted admission to museums and amusement parks and discounted tickets for boat trips and train journeys through the mountains. The Montreux Riviera Card is valid for the duration of your stay and is non-transferable.
When you arrive, you will receive a complimentary Montreux Riviera Card. Financed through city taxes, this travel pass provides you with free access to public transport from Villeneuve to Vevey. Granting you discounts on tickets for museums, amusement parks, local boat trips and mountain railyways. It is valid thru your stay and is non-transferrable.
Your room rate may vary from night to night due to our hotel's dynamic pricing strategy, known as Yield Management. This strategy allows us to adjust prices based on factors like demand, availability, and booking patterns. As a result, you may find higher rates during peak demand time and lower rates during less busy periods.
To make your stay unforgettable, we can include a romantic package or a welcome plate. For birthdays, our patissier can also propose a selection of cakes that can be placed in your room for your arrival. Please contact us at reception for further information on rates, booking, and payment conditions.
Our iconic building dates from the 60s and therefore access is not optimal yet. There is no step-free access between the street and reception and between the parking garage and reception. Please contact us should you require assistance or further information.
From the Montreux train station, you're only a five minute walk from Mona. When you exit the station, you will see a flight of stairs ahead of you across the road. Take them down toward the lake. Once at the bottom, turn right. You should see us from a distance! It's hard to miss our 16 floors. If you have luggage, there's an elevator that can take you down to the lake road. Just turn left after exiting the station and follow a blue line painted on the ground until you arrive at the Irish Pub. The elevator is on your right.
We ask that you check out before midday. But don't worry! If you aren't leaving the city until the afternoon, we can store your luggage for you at reception.
Our standard check-in time is at 3:00 PM. While we always strive to do our best, we cannot guarantee early check-ins. If you arrive before 3:00 PM and your room is ready, we are more than happy to check you in.
